Drained Battery

If you are charging your Wahl razor for the first time & after several months because its battery might be drained. So, to ensure it is not a low battery issue. If these are the reasons, continually plug your razor into the charger for 2 to 3 hours.

So, insert the charging plug into the power socket, and the other end inserts into the razor’s charging port. An LED light will blink while it is plugged in correctly.

Afterward, verify the razor is charged fully; if it is not charged, there will be other issues.

Faulty Charging Cable

It is possible that your charging cable is faulty, and it stops electricity from passing through. So, you should ensure that its cable is working correctly. Hold it closely and examine for torn, broken, or burnet cables.

You should also ensure using an original Wahal charging cable with the razor. However, if the charger is faulty, you can plug the razor into a new charging cable. And verify your razor is charging.

To verify that original cable, plug another new razor with it and ensure it is charging. If the new razor is also not charging, it means this cable is defective.

Place it Correctly into Charging Cradle.

If you haven’t plugged the charger directly into the razor and you are using the Wahl charging stand. You should verify that it is correctly placed into the charging cradle.

If the charging contacts do not attach to the correct positions, the razor can not charge. So, you should pick it up from the cradle and insert it by aligning the charging contact.

Place it into the center of the cradle charging port and plug the cradle into the correct power source. Finally, ensure the logo on the cradle and razor are aligned.

If, after placing it correctly, the razor is not charged, you should check the cradle and ensure it is working correctly. The charging cradle might be faulty, and you should replace it.

Check Power Socket

There can be a fault with the power socket you use to charge the razor. You should verify it is not faulty and provide electricity. Although if the socket is defective, you should test the different power sockets to charge it.

Don’t plug the razor into a high-voltage wall outlet; it can damage the razor. You should do a simple test on the faulty power socket. Plug another new device into it; if it does not work, no doubt the power socket is defective.

Clean charging Contacts & Replug

Possibly dirt and hair particles can be accumulated on its charging contact and charging cradle. So, you should check if they are dirty, wipe this dirt from the cradle and charge the razor.

While the cleaning is completed, plug the razor into the charger and ensure it is charging. Avoid plugging the razor into the power socket while the razor is wet. You can use rubbing alcohol and cotton buds to remove the dirt from the charging cradle.

On the other hand, you should do another quick solution, unplug the razor from the charger and replug into it. And make sure the charging cable is entirely inserted into the power source and the razor’s charging port.

Replace Dead Battery

There might be battery problems if the razor is no longer charged or turned on. You should replace the battery with a new one. In order to do this, you will need to unclip and take off its back.

The battery will be attached between two prongs, then the battery will be removed from here and replaced with a new one. Once the battery is installed, reattach the razor and push the power button to verify it is fixed.

For the battery replacement, you can return it to the manufacturer. Or read the owner’s manual to remove the battery and dispose of it in the right place.

Blades Jammed

If the razor is not turning on you, its blades may be jammed. Dirt or hair particles will be caught in the blades at the tip. Your blades should unclip and check for dirt/ hair particles in this case. Tips should also be unclipped and replaced.

If the blades are broken, unscrew the top screw to remove the broken blades and replace them with new ones. Once the blades are put back, and tips are attached, the razor should work back.

Use a clean brush to remove the hair from the blades because they stop them from moving freely. After removing it that prevents the blades from moving freely, you should apply the oil and turn it on. If nothing happens, you should replace the blades.

Motor Dead

If the blades are not moving or/the razor is not turning on, its motor may be jammed with small specs of hair. You should apply oil to the razor; it helps to lube the motor and solve the problem.

If the razor is not working, you should consider replacing the motor with a new one.

Contact Manufacturer

Lastly, if the razor does not work, you should contact the manufacturer and get it fixed. If it is under warranty, you should replace or get repair it.
