But a few users report issues with their Clio hair trimmers; it has stopped working. So, there will be several issues that cause it to stop working.
Don’t worry if you are also facing this problem with your Clio trimmer. Today I am going to share detailed solutions to fix these issues.

Let’s get started!
How to Fix Clio Trimmer that Stopped Working?
These are the solutions that you should try to fix your trimmer.
Clean the Blades
The trimmer’s cutting unit or blades might become dirty for prolonged use. And these dirt or hair particles can cause the blades to stop or block the blades. So this causes your trimmer to stop working.

So, you should check to ensure that your Clio is totally cleaned; if the blades are dirty, you should clean them immediately to fix the trimmer. You can clean them by the following methods.
- Clean the trimmer’s cuttings unit or blades with the help of a brush
- Rinse the trimmer under lukewarm tap water, turn the switch on, and let it run for 15 seconds. Turn it off for 5 seconds and then repeat the process 3 times. Ensure the trimmer’s handle does not get in touch with water and can be damaged.
- If the trimmer still is not working after rinsing it under tap water. So you should remove the cutting unit from the head and soak it in a glass of water. After 1 hour, remove it from the water and assemble it again.
Once you have cleaned your trimmer, turn it on and ensure the issue is fixed. Although there might be another issue with it.
Oil the Trimmer
When the blades are ultimately cleaned and still the trimmer is not working, you should verify that you have oiled the blades. Because there are two blades on the trimmer, one is fixed, and the other moves.

So, while a trimmer runs, the moveable part of the blade rubs on the fixed blade and causes heating due to friction. And sometimes, the trimmer can be seized due to friction and overheating.
That’s why you should verify you have oiled your trimmer. If you have not lubricated your Clio hair trimmer, you should follow the steps below.
- Ensure the trimmer is cleaned and the power switch is off
- Using an eyedropper, drop two or three drops of oil on the blades
- Turn the trimmer on and let it run for 20 seconds
- Turn it off and clean all excessive oil from it
These days many clippers/ trimmers oil is on the market, but you should use the one that comes with your trimmer. However, you can use a sewing machine, coconut, or baby oils to lubricate it.
Fully Charge
If your trimmer was not used for several months, possibly its battery might be dead. As you may know that the trimmers do not come with a charged battery, it is to protect their life. So, you should ensure the battery is fully charged. If the trimmer is not chargeable, you can replace the batteries with new ones.
If the trimmer is a rechargeable model, you should plug it into the charger and allow it to charge fully. It may take up to 3 hours to fully charge the battery.
If the trimmer is not charging, you should ensure that the battery is correctly placed into the compartment. And then check your charging cable to see if it is faulty.
Change the defective charger and use the new and original cable to charge your device. And then still, if the trimmer does not charge, you should verify your wall outlet or power source and ensure it is working correctly.
Replace Battery
However, if you have had the trimmer in use for a long time and it is not working, you should put new batteries into it.
Replacing the batteries will be a possible solution for these issues. This fixation is essential for the rechargeable or that is not rechargeable.
- Open the battery compartment by twisting the handle to the left until the arrow aligns; pull up the cover from the compartment.
- Remove the older batteries and insert 2 new “AAA” batteries into the battery compartment; insert them correctly “+” and “-” poles should be on the right sides.
- Ensure the batteries are snugly placed into the trimmer
Turn the trimmer to ensure that the trimmer is now able to work normally.
Replace Motherboard
If you smell burning or smoking something in the trimmer, its circuit can be burnt. So, to fix the issue, you should replace its motherboard with a new one. The circuit can be damaged due to unstable electric power or several other reasons.

- Use a screwdriver to remove the screw from the trimmer
- Open the trimmer and then check the circuit
- If it is burnet you should remove it
- And insert a new motherboard into your Clio trimmer; assemble it
