Check Circuit Breaker
A circuit breaker is an excellent choice for safety purposes. If you have a circuit breaker at your home, you should check if it is not turned off. Because it can be pulled off when any short circuit occurs in the electric wiring.
If it is turned off and not providing electricity, it can be a reason why your Gillette trimmer is not charging.
Clean Charging Port
Dirt can accumulate on its charging port for a long time using your trimmer. And this dirt stops electricity from passing through. This can be the reason your Gillette beard trimmer is not charging.
So, you should check to ensure the charging port and charging pin on the charging cable are clean. You should remove the dirt instantly if the dirt is accumulated on it.
You can clean it by following the below steps:
- You can use a soft and clean toothbrush to remove the dirt
- Use compressed air to wipe the loose dirt
- You can remove debris by using a cotton swab and rubbing alcohol
- Pour 3 to 4 drops of alcohol on the swab and rub it gently into the charging port
- You should not plug your trimmer into the charger while it is wet or has moisture.
Battery Issue
If you have not used this beard trimmer for several months, even if not charged and turned on. Its battery might be drained completely, and it can take more than usual time to charge completely.
So, you should plug it correctly into a power socket and allow it to charge 100%. It takes approximately up to 7 hours to completely charge.
However, if the trimmer is still not charged after plugging for 7 hours, there is a possibility that its battery is dead. So, you should replace its battery with a new one.
Hardware Problems
If none of the above methods are helpful and still your King C Gillette beard trimmer is not charging, it can have a hardware problem. You can check if you can see any external or internal damage.
Although you can go to the nearest electronic repair shop to fix the trimmer’s hardware issues. And also, you can check if the trimmer is under warranty; you can ask the manufacturer for its repair or return process.
