How to Fix Eyebrow Trimmer Not Working?
If the trimmer smells or smokes like burning something, you should turn it off and check the problem. It might be a short circuit issue. So, these are the solutions you should try for your eyebrow trimmer.
Quick Fixes
- Trimmer isn’t fully charged.
- The charging cable isn’t working.
- The power socket is faulty.
- Ensure the motor’s pin is moving
- Cutting units are blocked.
- The battery needs to be replaced.
- The trimmer is overheated; let it cool down.
- Contact the manufacturer
The trimmer run out of Battery.
Firstly you should ensure that your eyebrow trimmer is fully charged. If the trimmer is new or using it after several months, its battery needs to be fully charged. A new trimmer comes with only partially charged batteries to save its battery life.
If you have bought a new trimmer, you should charge it fully before the first use. It will be crucial for its long battery life. And plug it in for about 3 hours continually and then check it is working.
On the other hand, if you are using it after several months, its battery may be completely drained. So, you should charge it ultimately by plugging in the charger for about 4 hours. “If you know the trimmer will not be used for the next several days, you should remove its battery.”
While it is charged, then check it to confirm it is working correctly. If it still needs to be fixed, the trimmer will face another problem.
Charging Cord Faulty
If the trimmer isn’t fully charged, you should plug it into the charger and ensure the charging cable is providing electricity to charge it. Sometimes the charging cable might be defective, and it causes your trimmer to not work.
You should make sure you have plugged it in with the original charging cable because the local charger can also cause the problem and stop the trimmer from charging.
To check your power cable, you should plug in a new device that you are working with. And then ensure that this is working charging. It might be replaced if the new device is not charging with the original charging cord.
Faulty Power Source
In a few cases, the trimmer does not charge due to a faulty power source. If a power or wall socket is not providing electricity, the trimmer will not charge and will stop working. So, check your power socket and ensure it is not faulty.
It needs to be fixed if the wall socket is faulty, not providing power, or not providing enough to your eyebrow trimmer. You should check your source with a new device you know is working. If the new device is not working, too, it means the power socket is defective.
You should plug your trimmer into a new power source for this problem. And then check if it is charging.
And ensure it is charging; an LED indicator will illuminate while securely plugging into the charging. It takes up to 2 hours to fully charge.
Check Motor’s pin is Moving.
If the trimmer is charged and not working, you should ensure that the motor is moving. Remove the top head of your eyebrow trimmer; rotate it anticlockwise, and then take it up from the trimmer.
And now, check to ensure its turbine or pin is rotating; turn the trimmer on; if the pin is rotating, turn it back off. So, it means the motor is working correctly; the issue is with its cutting unit. They might be dirty or blocked and need to be cleaned and lubricated.
Blocked Cutting Unite
When you have ensured your eyebrow trimmer is fully charged and the motor is working, the problem might be with its cutting unit. The cutting unit or blades will be dirty or need to be lubricated.
So, here are the ways to clean and fix its cutting unit.
Instructions
- Use a brush to clean hair from its cutting unit; you can rinse its trimming head under the tap water, turn the trimmer on, run it for 15 seconds, turn it off for 5 seconds, and repeat this several times.
- If the reins under the tap water do not work, insert them into a warm water glass. Ensure the trimmer’s handle is not in the water, as it can be damaged.
- If the trimmer still is not fixed, detach the trimmer’s attachments and soak it in the water separately for about 8 hours. After this, reattach it and repeat the first step.
- So, if the trimmer is fixed and working, remove all the excess water.
- We recommend you clean your nose trimmer after every use for better results.
When the trimmer is completely cleaned out, and hair or dirt is removed, it needs a drop of oil to lubricate it.

Cautions
- Keep the trimmer off while cleaning with a brush
- Avoid abrasive sources and liquids such as alcohol, benzene, and bleach.
- Don’t try to remove the cutting blades with the motor ON.
- Don’t use hard objects to touch the blades; it can cause damage to them.
- Don’t use a trimmer while bathing, showering, or immersing the trimmer in the water.
Replace the Battery
If the trimmer still needs to be fixed and has a disposable battery, you should replace it. To solve the problem, you should replace it with a new one; the battery might have been damaged due to extended use and overcharging.
- Rotate the cap of the battery compartment ¼ anticlockwise and then pull off
- Then remove the battery from the compartment
- Place the cap back on the compartment and rotate it clockwise
- Rotate until the cap snaps into the place
When replacing the battery, ensure the “+” and “-” poles of the battery point are in the correct directions; it is mentioned in the battery compartment. And the battery should be disposed of or recycled in an environmentally friendly way.
And we recommend you watch this video, to remove and insert its battery easily.
Motor or Blades Jammed
If the trimmer is stopped, working slowly, or making weird noises, the trimmer should be oiled; because the blades or motor can be jammed. So, you should lubricate them to move freely.
- Take an eyedropper and take some oil
- Drop one drop on the blades or cutting head and turn the trimmer on
- Let the trimmer run for about 15 to 20 and then turn it off
- Remove the excessive oil
However, oiling your trimmer helps to prevent it from overheating. When the blades run together, friction converts into heat and causes your trimmer to be overheated.
We recommend you oil your eyebrow trimmer after every use. A drop of oil is enough to lubricate its blades.
Battery or Power Switch Faulty
There might be issues with its battery connections; the battery needs to be correctly connected. So, you should watch the below video to check and fix it.
However, there might be other issues with the power switch; it can be disconnected from the primary circuit.
Temperature Issues
Temperature is another factor; if the trimmer is not charging, you should check the temperature. Because if the temperature is 40℉ to 90℉, it will be ok. But if it is not in this range, charging might be affected, or it can take more than usual to charge fully.
Don’t plug or use it near the heat or in direct sunlight because it can be overheated. So, due to the high temperature, it can stop charging or trimming hair.
When the trimmer is overheated, turn the power switch off, and put it into the clear ventilation area. Allow the temperature to fall down and charge or use it.
Contact Manufacturer
In the end, when you have tried all the solutions, and your eyebrow trimmer is still not working, you should consider contacting the manufacturer. If the device is under warranty, they will repair or replace it.
Lastly, if there is no way to repair or replace it, you should buy a high-quality new eyebrow trimmer.
